About Us

Our Story

Hi! I'm Sasha, the founder of District Bangle.  My family tree consists of three generations of fine jewelers, yet my whole life, I have always struggled to find jewelry that felt effortless to wear. I always found jewelry to be uncomfortable, easy to lose, and fussy to put on and take off. I created District Bangle so that I could offer thoughtfully designed, ultra-light jewelry that elevates your look without sacrificing comfort. At District Bangle, we believe everyone deserves to shine - beautifully and comfortably.

Our Values

District Bangle is committed to sustainability and adopts the following practices:

  • Your mail order may arrive in a third-party outer box or envelope (such as Amazon). By using durable third-party outer packaging that can be recycled, we're contributing to a circular economy and not contributing to packaging waste.
  • We pack our bangles in beautiful jewelry boxes that may feature no logo, or our simple sub-logo, instead of our full name.  This is so you can use our jewelry boxes for yourself, but also so they remain appropriate to re-purpose or re-gift.
  • Our on-site market packaging is a combination gift bag and box, which reduces packaging waste by fifty percent (in addition to being adorable!). It features our beautiful golden circle sub-logo instead of our full name, so it is appropriate for re-use, re-purpose, or re-gift.
  • All of our packaging is fully recyclable

District Bangle is committed to social responsibility and adopts the following practices:

  • We prioritize ethical sourcing and ensure all materials for our products are obtained by suppliers who uphold fair labor practices, promote fair wages, and uphold our commitment to integrity and human rights.
  • We give back to our community by contributing to organizations doing grassroots work in areas like support for people in need, animals in need, veteran/military support, and support for the environment. We select a different organization monthly and tend to donate to local organizations in the Washington, D.C. area, because we are familiar with their impactful work. If you would like your organization to be considered for our monthly feature, please email us at hello@districtbangle.com.

We are proud to be a woman-run, minority-run, family-run, and military-connected small business.
